IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM PENN STATE UNIVERSITY
The following dates/deadlines are for students entering Penn State as first-year students in 2023 (fall admission)
Aug 1, 2024 - Applications for undergraduate admissions become available online
TBD - Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available
Nov 1, 2024 – PSU's Early Action filing deadline. Students will receive admission notification by Dec 22, 2023.
AFTER Nov. 1st, PSU will continue to accept applications on a ROLLING BASIS. However, admission to Penn State becomes more competitive when applying after Nov 1.
The Schreyer Honors College application deadline is December 2 at 11:59:59 p.m. Students who complete their SHC application by Nov 1 will be able to opt into an interview as part of the application process.
May 1, 2025 – National Decision Day (enrollment deposits are due)
SAT / ACT scores are optional for most colleges. Use fairtest.org to research if the colleges you are applying to require test scores. You may send them through CollegeBoard, if you feel they will add to your application. However, you will not be disadvantaged either way.
