Students wanting to improve their grades have plenty of resources to help them succeed academically. Below you will find more information about each academic support service.

All Ready Access” portal, a partnership between Schlow Centre Region Library and SCASD offers an endless world of opportunities and resources to all students in the district. Schlow is subscribing to "HelpNow by BrainFuse." It is fully accessible with a Schlow Library Card. (Every SCASD student automatically has a Schlow card, look it up here)

Digitally connect to live tutors (not a video connection) between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. every day. 

Tutors have background checks and clearances

Variety of subjects, including math, reading, writing, social studies, and science

Help with completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application

In addition to the live tutoring service, the SkillSurfer section has recorded lessons and practice tests for a variety of subjects so you can build your skills.

Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE) - available by administrative appointment only

The State College Area High School is committed to helping every student succeed. The Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE) is designed to give high school students who are failing required courses an opportunity to reach their academic potential and to prepare them for lifelong success.  If mandated, instead of going to a study hall, your student will report to room D126. Time in ACE will provide an opportunity for more individualized instruction for your student.
