- Students MUST sign up at least two weeks in advance of any tournament (and much earlier is better), but please be advised that due to event caps, some registrants may be placed on a waiting.
- Debaters in our most popular events (public forum and lincoln douglas) cannot always be assured spot in a tournament they wish to attend.
- In order to attend, students must have prepared and critiqued pieces (speech) or submitted their cases (debate) by the Thursday practice ONE WEEK prior to the date of the tournament. Failure to adhere to this deadline will result in registration relgation to the turnament waiting list, or possible removal from the tournament.
- If you sign up for a tournament, YOU WILL be registered and the club will pay your registration fees.
- If you must drop your registration for any reason, please email both Mrs. Rand (jls66@scasd.org) and Ms. Haas (slh41@scasd.org). Registration drops after costs have been paid (two weeks prior to tournament date) must be covered by students, and any "nuisance fees" incurred by the club on behalf of the tournament will addtionally need to be covered by the dropping student.
- Due to event caps, attendance at the PHSSL district tournament (the state qualifying tournament) will be by invitation only and will be based upon multiple criteria (performance throughout the season, commitment to the club evidenced through regular attendance and preparation). Registration for this tournament constitutes INTEREST only and invitations will be extended by the first week of February.
