Every year, French Club holds a pétanque tournament and penny drive to raise money for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). You can check this organization at this address https://www.msf.org/. Pétanque is a traditional French game similar to bocce ball that is very common and popular in France. Doctors Without Borders is an international medical humanitarian organization that provides emergency medical assistance to people in countries whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe. Because of COVID19 we didn't have the tournament in 2019-2020. This school year, we will be creative in our fund raising and we will come up with ideas during our meetings.  In years past, French Club raised between $2500-3,000 a year.
