Instruction includes, but is not limited to; safety, ethics, power and energy, problem solving, teamwork, mechanical design, the engineering design process, engineering graphics and CAD, automated systems, fundamental electronics, manufacturing systems as well as adhering to the STEM initiative.  Course work also emphasizes the development of communication skills, neatness, collaboration, and attention to detail. Students will acquire academic and technical skills necessary to lead and work effectively with others, and enter the workforce, technical school, or college. Engineering principles taught hold value for all three groups. Finally, supervised work experience provides an increase in on-the-job knowledge and abilities.
