Culinary Arts
Culinary Arts students learn hands-on, in a professional, commercial kitchen about the endless opportunities in the foodservice industry. Students will be well prepared to join an ever growing workforce or springboard into higher education. Students completing the 2-year program can earn numerous industry certifications and become eligible for scholarships and post-secondary credits. Course curriculum is rooted in the National Restaurant Association’s ProStart® program which unites the foodservice industry and the classroom to teach high school students culinary skills and restaurant management principles, as well as employability skills such as communication, teamwork, professionalism and time management. Course modules range from breakfast cookery and baking to meat fabrication and international cuisines. Additional skill development is practiced through catered events, theme dinners, and special events.
