Automotive Technology

The Automotive Technology program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain all types of automobiles. Includes instruction in brake systems, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering, automatic and manual transmissions and drivetrains, and heating and air condition systems.

The class time will be split between the classroom and the state-of-the-art shop with the newest automotive tools to allow you to learn the skills you need to be successful.

While in the shop you will have the opportunity to apply your skills that you learned in the classroom to your personal vehicles, customers vehicles and school vehicles.

Students will  have the opportunity to earn industry certifications that employers are looking for to make your resume stand out among the rest. Students will have the opportunity to earn PA Inspection License, PA Emissions License and A/C 609 certification. If college is not for you this is your opportunity to learn a skill in a high demand field right out of high school. With the demand for technicians so high we currently have a 100% job placement.

If you would like to continue your education after high school, we have you covered with several articulations with Colleges that allow you to earn college credit for the work that you complete during your time in high school. This equals up to time and money off your college. Whether you want to go straight to work after high school or move onto a post-secondary school we have you covered and you will have learned the skills to do what you want.
