Welcome to State College Area High School home to the Little Lions. 

State High is a high-performing, comprehensive high school that has a robust course offering, including 63 advanced and AP electives, and 12 in-house Career and Technical Programs. State High's staff is dedicated to making our students college- and career-ready and competitive in a global society. Our teachers are highly trained, skilled and committed to fostering relationships with students, parents, and community members.

A family picks up food at the summer food distribution

Maroon-topped tents pop up and delivery trucks heavy with produce rumble as a small army of SCASD employees and community volunteers prepare for the district’s weekly Summer Food for All program. During the next few hours, they will distribute a week’s worth of summer breakfasts and lunches for as many as 900 children.

PFMS TSA National Team

A team of Park Forest Middle School students captured three national championships and finished as runners-up in three other events at the 47th National Technology Student Association Conference.

Jesse Barlow

Following the resignation of Board of Directors member Dan Kolbe, which was effective June 18, 2025, the SCASD Board of Directors held a special meeting on July 1. At the meeting, the board selected Jesse Barlow as the new member with a 7-1 vote.
