Welcome to State College Area High School home to the Little Lions.
State High is a high-performing, comprehensive high school that has a robust course offering, including 63 advanced and AP electives, and 12 in-house Career and Technical Programs. State High's staff is dedicated to making our students college- and career-ready and competitive in a global society. Our teachers are highly trained, skilled and committed to fostering relationships with students, parents, and community members.

You are all cordially invited to the grand opening of the Mount Nittany Elementary School expansion! We have recently completed the 36,000-square-foot addition and are excited to open it for our students to begin the 2026-2027 school year.

District staff and volunteers distributed food as part of the district’s Summer Food Service Program. “I love this program because it helps parents who are busy,” Nina Troyan said. “And I love the kids. They come through with a happy face, and it’s so good to see them.”

State High and Park Forest Middle School both took home multiple National Championships at the 48th annual TSA National Conference in Washington D.C. Additionally, PFMS TSA Advisor Tim Dzurko was honored as the Middle School Advisor of the Year.
