Welcome to State College Area High School home to the Little Lions.
State High is a high-performing, comprehensive high school that has a robust course offering, including 63 advanced and AP electives, and 12 in-house Career and Technical Programs. State High's staff is dedicated to making our students college- and career-ready and competitive in a global society. Our teachers are highly trained, skilled and committed to fostering relationships with students, parents, and community members.

What started as summer break plans between a few friends culminated with all of State High packed into the North gym last week, dancing as one. The entire school joined together and pulled off an ambitious lip dub, a single-shot music video.

Twelve State College Area High School students were named National Merit Scholarship Finalists, among the 15,000 finalists nationwide. This is an annual academic competition among high school students for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships that began in 1955.

Megan Hull will serve as the new Assistant Superintendent of K-12 Curriculum and Instruction after being approved by the SCASD Board of Directors. She succeeds Christine Merritt who will retire in June after 31 years with the district.
